Financial Expenses Covered by KAU
The King Abdulaziz University Scholarship (KAU) will be covering full tuition fees for all interested candidates around the world. See lists of expenses covered:
- There will be a Monthly Bursary of about Sr 900 for each student
- There will also be a Bursary of Sr 1000 for research purposes
- A preparation allowance of Sr 1,800 will be given to all students whom are coming for the first time
- All candidates will be given a free health care
- There will be a well furnished accommodation for all students
- There will be a subsidized Meals provided for all students
- There is a total sum of Sr 4,000 that will be given to Ph.D students and a total sum of Sr 3,000 for Masters level students Plus allowance for printing out thesis
- There will be another allowance of up to Sr 2,700 for Shipping Books (After Graduation)
- All candidates will be provided with a free 2-way Airfare Ticket to their local country Annually
Criteria Needed to be Eligible for King Abdulaziz Scholarship in Saudi Arabia
All interested students are advised to read through carefully and make sure they provide all the necessary criteria needed to process their scholarship at KAU. See lists:
- It is expected that all applicants must not exceed 35 years of age for PhD level program, 30 years of age for Masters level program and 25 years of age for Bachelors Degree
- All applicants must have a University Degree from and accredited college or University and must should have a very good results
- All Masters and PhD students whom first language is not English language must have an approved exam in English language. see details of the Exams requirements:
> TOEFL (PBT) = 500
> TOEFL (CBT) = 173
> TOEFL (IBT) = 61
> IELTS = 5 - All applicants must have a record of good conduct and must be medically fit
- Candidates applying to this scholarship must not have been dismissed from any institution/university before
- All female students must be accompanied by a relative who is within Saudi Arabia with a regular resident
- All interested candidates must be eligible and dim fit for admission requirements

- Students should provide a statement of purpose which must be in English for all programs except for Islamic Studies and Arabic Language
- Applicants should provide a copy of graduation certificate (must be certified from Saudi Embassy)
- Applicants must provide a copy of transcript (must be certified from Saudi Arabia)
- Candidates are expected to provide 2 recommendation letters from their former professors
- All interested candidates must provide their Valid Passport that is valid for at least one year
